What makes up Mile0City.ca
At the very beginning of July, Motion Media and Moose FM launched a brand new local website for the community of Dawson Creek, BC. The site features local news, sports, weather, events and many other things.
The model for this site is a very new one is some respects. A radio station is in charge of the all the content gathering and publishing, and Motion Media, as a web development company, runs all the technical aspects.
This is not something that is new to Motion Media, for the last three years we have been operating Energeticcity.ca, a similar site for Fort St John, BC. What makes Mile0City.ca so special, is that it is a completely new website.
We as a team worked very hard for a couple months to build a - drupal - website that would meet all the needs of a local website. This new site is built on Drupal 6 and has intertwining content all throughout the site, bringing together articles, users, contributors, images, videos, etc all in a site wide library.
