Learning About Our Personalities

When it comes to human personalities we all have different ones. Some of us shy, some of us loud, some of us theoretical, and so on. Most of the time we are all different, we all act and react to situations differently. We handle things in our own way. So when the majority of the team here at Motion Media took the Jung and Briggs Myers Typology Test we got some insight into the personalities of the people we work with everyday.

Below is a list of the type of personalities all of us in the office have:

• Andrew is The Performer
• Dayna is The Giver
• Martin is The Scientist
• Katherine is The Protector
• Steven is The Giver
• Mike is The Thinker
• Kyle is The Duty Fulfiller
• Megan has been out of the office at the moment.

As you can see all of us, except Dayna and Steven have different personalities. As we all sat together and went over each different type we were amazed at accuracy of the descriptions. We all laughed and joked as it would describe each of us almost to a tee.

The benefits of knowing

Now it was fun doing the test and going over the results with each other, but there was serious benefits to learning what type of personality everyone has. We now have a basic understanding about how each of us approaches our work and how we communicate while at work. Often time we all take things in our own way and digest information differently, so by learning about each other we now have a better understanding of how to approach each other.
