Social Media

Here we are entering a New Year once again. We hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday season wherever you spent it and getting back into the routine of things wont be to difficult. I know some of us are moving slow this morning.

Nevertheless though we are excited for what is to come in 2011. Many things are on the books for us. A few redesigns for some current websites, the launch of some new websites, the Fort St John Community Guide, more workshops and the list goes on. We are going to be busy and we love it. We hope you'll join us as we embark on to 2011.

One question that arises when I start praising Social Media to the millions is "when will I find the time". It seems a lot of people have busy lives and that is completely understandable, but I also think that when running a business you should make time for Social Media as it can be one of you best marketing tools.

I'm not going to drill the point here today, I have done that enough already. What I do want to share with you is a slight case study, or an observation I made earlier.

I know the team here is recuperating from yesterday's workshop. I think we were all fairly beat by the ended of the day as we celebrated the end of Movember at Egan's.

I can safely say we didn't know what to expect when we decided to put on this workshop. It had never been done in Fort St John before and is such a new medium that we didn't know if we would get any interest. What we did know is that we had the passion for it and a passion to help educate anyone who would listen about Social Media, and the tools that can be used.
